Mr. Dominic Parmena Sumary is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry at the Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences, St. John’s University of Tanzania since 2008. He has held a teaching at secondary schools in year 2005-2006 where he taught Biology and Chemistry subjects.  Mr. Sumary went through M.Sc. (Chemistry) at the University of Dar es Salaam. He has experiences in asistantship supervison of undergraduate students from local universities and USA. Mr. Sumary has experience on phytochemical investigations (extraction, isolation and structure elucidation), carrying out bioassays/screening of plant extracts and pure compounds. Apart from research and teaching  he held a position of Associate editor of Tanzania Journal of Natural and Applied Sciences at St John's University of Tanzania.

Currently, Mr. Sumary's  research interest is on investigation of phytochemical compositions and biomedical potentials  and exploration of natural remedies and natural sources as feed supplements of both livestock and poultries for sustainable productivity.
